This position will have a focus on VMware installation, upgrades, and updates. You will monitor the daily operations of virtual machines and hardware, vCenter and storage interaction utilizing vRealize Operations Manager. Troubleshoot all alerts and anomalies within the infrastructure and make recommendations to the Enterprise Architect for resolution. Build custom dashboards which provide metrics at the SA to Executive level.
 
Description:
Patch Maintenance and to manually implement the TRADOC approved Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs). Primary responsibility is management of the RMF process as required and within the context of the contracted services, including review and update of all necessary documentation; coordinating responses to customer questions; and participating in code and system security reviews. In addition; the security engineer will regularly review system scans; Test & Patch up to 70 physical and virtual devices including ACAS and BURP scans; provide timely responses to IAVA; IAVB; ALERACTS; MILPERS; WARNORDS; OPORDS; and other vulnerability alerts. Participate in threat monitoring and provide remediation and remediation guidance for common software and web application vulnerabilities; and monitor system classification guides to ensure that documentation and other program artifacts are appropriately marked and stored.
 
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Minimum of an Associate degree in computer programming from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience
  • Five years practical experience in computer programing in an Enterprise SharePoint environment.
  • DoD 8570.1M, IAT II certification (CE –MCSE Cloud Platform and Infrastructure per Microsoft Change or MCSE Server Infrastructure or equivalent/updated training) 
  • IAW AR25-2 IAT Level II, completed SA Security Course or a Command-equivalent course within 6 months of assuming position
  • Familiar with Windows Server 20, SharePoint 2013-2016
  • Two or more years’ experience with VMWare
  • Certification for VMWare 6.x required within 6 months of performance start
Experience Requirements:
  • Five years practical experience in computer programing in an Enterprise SharePoint environment.
 
Education Requirements:
  • Minimum of an Associate’s degree in computer programming from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience
      
Certifications:
  • DoD 8570.1M, IAT II certification
  • Certification for VMWare 6.x
 
Location: Ft. Leavenworth, KS.
 
Travel: 0-25%
 
Clearance: SECRET (this position requires a clearance for obtaining a CAC)
